HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States. Approximately 20 million Americans are infected with HPV. About 6.2 million more will become infected with genital HPV this year. Nearly all cervical cancers are related to HPV.

The PAIC Immunization Awards Dinner was held June 23, 2010 with an attendance of more than 100. The highlight of the dinner was the announcement of the 2010 Pennsylvania Immunization Champions. An Immunization Champion is an individual or group who works in the state of Pennsylvania to overcome barriers to immunization and other challenges that results in the enhanced promotion and delivery of immunizations for all Pennsylvania residents across their lifespan.
