ACLAMO’s Community Listening Session and Survey

  • September 14th, 1:30pm-3:30pm & 4:00-6:00pm @ ACLAMO’s Community Center 801 W Marshall Street, Norristown, 19401 (see attached Flyer)
    • Pease invite everyone and anyone you know to participate in The Connection’s Community Listening Sessions or to take the online survey. All ages, races, income levels, etc are welcome to participate. Montgomery County residents/workers are the focus but others can participate as well.
    • The sessions and surveys are in English and Spanish. This is a project organized by the United Way with ACLAMO, Share Food Program, and the Tri County YWCA in collaboration with the Mainline Chamber of Commerce.
    • The goal is to gather information about the employment-related needs of the community and communicate them to the leaders of companies and employers offering jobs in our part of the state. Ultimately, together we will develop and implement a plan to remove barriers to obtaining and sustaining employment, and to create pathways to sustainable jobs and stable homes.
      • To do that we need the feedback of the community so we can demonstrate what transportation, childcare, and healthcare, and other needs of the community are and how employers can attract, support, and retain staff.
      • For those who cannot attend the in person listening session we’ve created an online community survey. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
