Winter/Spring iHeartRadio Campaign

The Northeast Immunization Coalition and the Central Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition have joined forces with iHeartRadio to launch a compelling Winter/Spring campaign focused on COVID, HPV, and measles awareness.

Winter Poster Campaign

The Northeast Immunization Coalition and the Central Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition have joined forces for a compelling winter campaign focusing on COVID-19, Flu, and Pneumococcal vaccinations. This impactful initiative is set to unfold from January to the end of March 2024, reaching an estimated 574,000 impressions daily across the NIC and CPIC counties.

Below are the campaign posters, in English and Spanish, that will be strategically placed in various stores throughout the NIC/CPIC counties, aiming to raise awareness and encourage community members to prioritize their health through immunization.

PA Live Interviews

The Northeast Immunization Coalition and Central Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition, in partnership with the Schuylkill County Immunization Coalition are participating in a 4-month long campaign with the news station WBRE-WBYOU-TV on their lifestyle channel, PA Live. This campaign includes commercials and 8 interview speaking about the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19, the Flu, and RSV. iHeart Radio Campaign

The NIC and CPIC are partnering with iHeartRadio for a Fall/Winter campaign surrounding Polio, Shingles, COVID-19, and Flu. iHeartRadio App (podcast impressions) targeting networks of viewers and shoppers in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming counties. For the Northeast Immunization Coalition (NIC) there will be over 611,000 impressions between 9/11/2023-12/31/2023.

The 16th National Conference for Immunization Coalitions and Partnerships (NCICP)

The 16th National Conference for Immunization Coalitions and Partnerships (NCICP), formerly known as the National Conference on Immunization and Health Coalitions, is the only conference solely dedicated to collaboration and partnership as a way to improve immunization uptake, educate our communities, and prevent the spread of disease. The conference is an engine to improve immunizations and public health issues by sharing successful strategies that strengthen the work our coalitions and partnerships do.

The Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition (PAIC) is proud to host the 2024 NCICP conference. Our statewide work increases access to immunizations for vaccine-preventable diseases through support of local immunization coalitions. We warmly welcome our colleagues and partners from across the country to learn from each other as we share our successes and brainstorm solutions to shared challenges.

Rotary Club of Scranton: World Polio Day 2023

The Rotary Club of Scranton hosted the district 7410 spotlight events for World Polio Day 2023. They partnered with the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and other public/private healthcare organizations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

On Tuesday, October 24th, local high school students and their teachers participated in educational activities to increase awareness of the ongoing effort to eradicate polio throughout the world. The student’s problem-solved on issues that impact them locally and globally. They engaged in model exercises that placed them in the roles of public health officials, private researchers and community leaders.

In the evening, GCSOM and Scranton Rotary hosted a panel discussion on global polio eradication efforts and pandemic preparedness in the auditorium of the medical school. Panelists included leaders from the fields of healthcare, higher education and government.
