August is National Breastfeeding Month and World Breastfeeding Week is recognized August 1-7. Every August, the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) hosts a social media advocacy and/or outreach campaign inviting member organizations, breastfeeding coalitions, partner organizations, and individuals to participate in online action and conversation about the policy and practice changes needed to build a landscape of support for babies and families.
This year 2023 the theme is “This is our way.” This theme “will help shine a light on why this work is so important and center the conversation on the babies and families who need our support. Join us as we celebrate mothers and lactating parents and work to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding and human milk feeding for the 13th annual National Breastfeeding Month this August!”
